The Toyota 86 is a 2+2 sports car jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru. It draws inspiration from the Toyota AE86.

The Toyota FT-86 G Sports Concept is a modification of the Toyota FT-86 Concept manufactured jointly by Toyota and Subaru and shown at the January 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon as part of the Toyota G Sports range. It would go on to become the 86 GT.

The 86 GT is one of four models that were offered at the 86s launch. The Toyota 86 GT gets its name from two classic Toyota Cars, the Toyota 2000GT and the Toyota AE86, both of which were FR layout.

- At the very end of the final episode of Initial D, Takumi passes an orange Toyota 86, meant to be as a tribute to the AE86 for the show.
- In the Legend 3 movie, an orange 86 shows up twice. Once at the gas station when Takumi was seen day dreaming about Natsuki, and the other at the very end of the film when he encounters the same orange 86 and has a short impromptu battle which is not fully seen.

Subaru BRZ S (ZC6)[]
The Subaru BRZ was a badge engineered version of the Toyota 86. The BRZ's name stands for Boxer engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Zenith. The BRZ differs from the 86 in its grille, headlights and front fender vent. Two versions of the BRZ were offered, the S and R.

Toyota GR86 RZ (ZN8)[]
The Toyota GR86 is the Toyota varient of the second generation of the 86. The GR from the name comes from Gazoo Racing, the motorsport division of Toyota.
