Honda NSX (sold as the Acura NSX in North America) is a sports car that was originally produced between 1990 and 2005 by Japanese automaker Honda. It was equipped with an MR (mid-engine, rear-wheel drive) layout, powered by an all-aluminum V6 gasoline (petrol) engine featuring Honda's Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system. A long-rumored second generation NSX debuted as a concept car in 2012, equipped with a V6 hybrid powertrain, and has entered production in 2015.

Weakness

The NSX has a slightly rear-biased weight balance, which can wear out the rear tires if it is used for entering braking drifts. This also means it can oversteer quite easily while cornering at high speeds, as the load is shifted to the rear. Go Hojo has somewhat countered this problem by fitting a rear spoiler (i.e. a GT wing) which adds downforce to the front.

Trivia

  • In stock condition, NSX models have front wheels that are smaller than rear ones. The front wheels on early models are 205/50R15, while the rear ones are 225/50R16. In the 1997 revision, it was enlarged to 215/45R16 up front and 245/40R17 at the back. Furthermore, the NA2 version is updated with even wider rear tires, measuring at 255/40R17, with the front tire width remain unchanged, but now with larger diameter of 17 inches.
